The Last American.org Features and Functions

Thank you everyone for your interest in our new radio venture. As we are getting very close to launch Wednesday October 26th at 8pm cenral 9pm ET we wanted to take a minute to describe to you our great features. As you've noticed our site is very interactive and is connected to several other services. Here is the run down on what we have and how to use it.

Sign in-  Our sign in gadget near the top right of the home page. It only takes a second to sign up. You don't even need to verify an email. Sign in is REQUIRED to comment on our walls, rate content, receive our newsletter and other member related features.

Stream-  The icon that says listen here on every page will launch our radio player. This is where you will hear our live shows. After all our shows air for the day we will replay them on the stream as well as any other shows or content we dicide to play in the loop. Our stream should work on every device. From PC and Mac to PS3, IPhone and Droid, they should all play! If you have ANY issue where you can not get at least one of the two players to work please email Brian Staveley @ TheLastAmerican911@gmail.com. We want this to be as accesible as possible. Speaking on that we have a Droid and I Phone app coming.

Droid and Iphone app-   Your phone's browser should play the stream no problem but with the app you get much more than just streaming on the go. At your fingertips you will have instant access to our ENTIRE audio archive. With our Connect To Us icon you can easily land on our Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube pages. We have featured photos and videos so if we have a certain topic for the day and want you to follow along you can via the photos and or videos on the app! A very exciting feature for us. You can also press call the studio to do just that without fumbling around while on the go looking for the dial pad. You can access our full website, send us an email and you can even subscribe and or read our blogs right on your mobile device! More features will be added as well. The app is available for download in the Droid marketplace right now and in I Tunes in hopefully a week or two!  You can dowload it right off of our homepage! This will be very useful. If you can not download of our homepage just go to the Android Marketplace and search LastAmerican44727 no spaces. That will bring you to our free app!  I personally use radio streaming apps on my phone all the time. Plug into your car speakers via an adapter and you have us everywhere you go!! Once the app is ready it will be posted right on the homepage. You will be able to click to download right there and it will start downloading on your phone automatically. Of course the app is free guys. Next we will describe all the great features of our toolbar. This is the part you really want to pay attention to. After the Toolbar we breakdown what each page is all about.

                                                                         TOOLBAR
The Toolbar at the bottom of each page is very handy guys. It helps connect us in so many ways and has some really useful features. We are going to briefly go over each one for you so you utilize them. Some of them like the photo sharing option are really good for trying to show people things in detail. Starting from left to right on the toolbar at the bottom of the page.
The first icon that looks like a person walking will tell you how many people are online and from where. It offers further analysis as well such as what pages people are on. Being a radio station we are going to be looking for something that breaks it down by the quarter hour so we might add another similar feature soon.
Translate- Click this and change the whole page including news feeds from external sources into your native language. there are over 30 on there. If you are a member and you don't see your language, email Brian Staveley so if it is possible he will plug your language pack in.
Picture Sharing and Youtube- The next icon says Youtube but its much more than that. We need to have a few uploads before it will attach our acct to it. that is why you see a black screen when clicking Youtube. This will be resolved soon BUT there is a feature there much cooler than just a Youtube tab. Click the bottom left where it says Liveshare. You can then share pictures either publicly with all guests or privately by email invite only. Not only can you open or drag and drop pictures but you can do a whole folder at once and you can click on them and blow them up. This is very handy when researching and trying to show someone a picture real quick. No uploading to a site.We will be adding more options related to this in the future too!
Recent Posts tab- Click this and it will open our newest blogs.
Share- Self Explanatory. Share the page your on with numerous networks
Twitter- Click the word Twitter and open a twitter dashboard right here, instantly!! See all the conversation going around on Twitter about The Last American Radio Broadcast.
Tweet- This button will do just what it says. It will open a window will a tweet ready to post linking back to this site!
Facebook. This open up our Facebook Fan Page for The Last American . org
Like- This will put a like on our Facebook Fan Page and it will post n your home page that you "like" us. Please do this when possible and help us spread the word of whole truth.
Video Chat is just that. Video Chat service.
Join Chat- This is one of the best features on here. Our chat is really good. When you open it, you need to sign in via Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, or Yahoo. Anyone will work fine. Let's say you log in via Facebook. You are in the main chat lobby by default. Everyone is keeping us connected. Well you can chat in the lobby. you can pick someone's name from the side and chat privately one on one. While you do this you will still be in the group lobby too! Then if you want click the arrow on the left side of the chat window and you will open up your Facebook list. All of your online Facebook friends are available to chat. From here! Pretty cool. The next logo is just for a quick announcement. That wraps up the toolbar.

                                                                       PAGES
Pages-  A quick rundown on what pages we offer. Most are self explanatory. For now we do have what we were calling an archive but all of that content will be moved into our real archive soon. It's off site but we will set it up so you get redirected automatically. Most of the hosts will be on a very flexible schedule, others may be in a regular slot. Check our Line Up page for both. You can see schedules in there and when someone is going to plan a show in the near future we will announce it on the Line Up page.
Our Other Projects- This is where you can view banners for our other internet ventures. We all have other projects we work hard on as well and we wanted to share those site with you. If you click anny banner on that page it will open a new window and bring you to that site. This site won't close on you. It will be a separate window. Thank you
Photos- This section will be undergoing a lot of changes. We are currently seeking different photo albums and features. It may appear the Photo page is not working properly and that is because we are testing out many different options there. Please check out our photos though. Many times we will have very telling photographs to display to you.
Our Blogs-  While we have not written any yet, when we do blog this is where you can read it. You can of course subscribe to an author or to all of us if you want to automatically receive our newest work on a regular basis. Of course you can comment, share, etc. This is also viewable on your mobile device on the go!
Contact Us- This is our contact information. You can easily email us from there and we will fill it in with some more information in the near future.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this. In the future if we have announcements they will most likely come in the form of a newsletter. Be sure to subscribe to it so you don't miss anything. Then when we release one it will go right to your inbox. The subscribe gadget is on the right side of the home page about halfway down.
Remember We Launch Wednesday Night October 26th at 9pm Eastern/ 8pm Central!! We will be taking live calls. The number will be on our website by then. You can click on the Skype icon and dial in via skype or you can call in the convential way. If you would like to add us on Skype our user name is TheLastAmericanRadioBroadcast
